Holly came to see because she was suffering from acne and blemishes after the birth of her first child.
Her skin problems started to become more severe over time which had a huge impact on her confidence. Holly didn’t like going out in public due to the state of her skin and during Covid, took advantage of wearing face masks to cover her face which only made her acne worse.

Holly came to the salon for an initial skin consultation where we talked through her current skincare routine and the products she used on a daily basis. I then analysed her skin to determine key issues and the best plan moving forward.
A key area I identified in Holly’s current skincare routine that I felt could be improved was the cleansing process.
When you’re busy looking after small children, running a house and juggling work, our skin can become neglected. Also, wearing face masks for prolonged periods of time can add to the build-up on dead skin cells, bacteria and dirt on our skin.
Once I felt Holly’s skin was calm and balanced and her skin barrier stronger, we started a course of Photo Dynamic Facial Treatments, specifically targeting her her acne and blemished skin concerns.
The combination of High Density LED light and light activated Concentrates, that use plant stem cell technology, got to work at treating the redness and breakouts on Holly’s skin.
Holly wanted the best possible results and had a course of 8 treatments and now continues with a monthly maintenance programme.

When I saw Holly after her second maintenance programme, you could see a huge change in her skin but more than that, in herself.
She was looking so much more confident; she couldn’t stop smiling and was excited to tell me that she had been out of the house several times without makeup or a mask.
This was a huge step for Holly who only a few weeks before, hated being out in public without a face mask to cover her skin.
Quite often, Acne is misdiagnosed as being caused by oily skin, when in fact, it’s often caused by skin sensitivity and the use of the wrong skincare products. Incorporating the right skincare products into a skincare routine that suits her skin type is the key to getting amazing results.
